Shawn Erwin is a biomedical engineering major from Houston, Texas. He has worked on multiple research projects with Andrew Robbins, Hunter Storaci, and Caleb Davis. These include a degradable polymer to insert within the body in order to eliminate a surgery to remove the device and a hernia mesh tissue project, as well as developing bioreactors for Lymphatic Biomechanics projects. Shawn aspires to go to medical school after graduation and become a sports medicine doctor.
